A little over a year ago, I started this blog with the hope of sharing things I loved with those who'll listen. While rocky at first, month after grueling month, post after thought out post, readership began to rise. With it, came the gusto to offer you guys a lot more, to give you a fine plethora of things to read, especially when it comes to the local style scene. Well, we're about to hit another milestone together, folks, and there's no better time to do it with a shebang than now!
You see, we're fast approaching the whopping 100,000th visit for this little blog project of mine. While minute compared to some, I am continuously blown away by the support I get every single day. Never have I imagined that it would come to this, but as the truest cliche goes, I owe it to all of you people for keepin' on readin' on. That's why for this celebration, it's going to be all about you, my dear readers! Yes, you who's probably reading this shirtless somewhere, this is my ode to you!
Here's the low down: I've gathered some of my most favorite things (things that I would love to have for myself) and will do the unthinkable: I'll willingly (albeit difficultly) hand 'em over to you! Yes, yes, you! As hard as it is for me, you've all been so awesome, so you rightfully deserve it in my eyes. Enough of this sentimental talk, let's get to the esteemed prize list, shall we, before I change my mind.
1. Fred Perry Holdall Bag
What would a Styles I Love celebration be without my favorite brand? While much has been said about the legendary Laurel shirts, their bags deserve some much warranted attention too! Let the holdall below speak for itself. Glorious gray leather, white piping detail, a shoulder strap option, and the little logo at the corner, it doesn't get any better than this.
2. Adidas Philippine Range Track Jacket
I already wrote about the dope new Philippine Range collection from Adidas so you already know how I feel about 'em. The clean lines, the minimalistic branding, and the subtle hints of yellow make this brand new track jacket a significant upgrade from the earlier flag version. Much more contemporary, I think, and so much more handsome.
3. Scents and Ribbon Belts from Wright Supply Co.
Because you don't only need to look good, but also smell quite spiffy, Wright Supply Co. will be giving three awesome scents of your choice (in 100ml bottles) to make you none but a hit with the ladies. Heck, they'll even throw in six ribbon belts for every day of the week (don't wear belts on Sunday!) to help you with the looking good part. Great, great stuff, I say.
4. Joey Samson-designed Bow Tie
Time to discard those neckties and give that inner bow tie wearer in you a hug! My favorite Filipino designer ever (yes, ever) Joey Samson has designed a bow tie exclusively for Styles I Love, but really, the beneficiary of which will be you! The picture below is not the actual bow tie (it's mine), but it's the kind awesomeness you can expect from the incomparable Mr. Samson.
How do you win all these, you ask? Easy breezy, lemon queazy! Just be the 100,000th visitor of the site, press the printscreen button with the counter in the frame (look for it!), and send it to bobby.sangalang@gmail.com! Just like that, you get to bring home all the items above, which in all honestly, I would love to call mine!
(By the way, no photoshop jobs please. I can spot that shiz from a mile away, so don't even try! Oh, and winners should be able to claim the prizes anywhere in Metro Manila only please. I'd love to meet you! If you are the 100,001th, 100,002nd, 100,003rd visitor and so on, do send in your entries still because you never know if the entry before you is void i.e. not from Manila!)
