The Women: Tweetie De Leon in Rogue

I haven't posted any men's magazine covers lately, primarily because I see all of them as run-of-the-mill attempts to glorify the female figure. Topless shot covered with hair here, another in a bikini there - all good to look at, don't get me wrong, but sometimes it's all too much. Sometimes, we need to be reminded about beauty in its essence - face, posture, and just pure class. All of these are highlighted in Rogue's February cover featuring my ultimate crush, Ms. Tweetie De Leon. The cover article's penned by friend Raymond Ang, and while he's as talented a writer as I know, I reckon people will have a hard time looking away from these oh so glorious snaps.

The Art: Jacques Magazine's "Straightaway"

Now this is how you promote your erotic magazine. Fine cinematography plus scantily clad women is the the way to go, you guys. It's the friggin' future! My favorite gentleman's publication of the moment, Jacques Magazine, is getting better by the month, starting from just tasteful nude previews to this - themed short films which were shot well enough to enjoy without the tatas (although some exposure wouldn't hurt). The Happening: The Girls of Metrowear

The grand 'ole Metrowear Fashion Show went down yesterday, showcasing the best the country has to offer with creative imaginings of the Young Designers Guild and Fashion Design Council of the Philippines. While there were a lot of impressive pieces to oggle at (Louis Claparols, I'm looking at you!), admittedly there was a shortage of menswear pieces that night. The upside, however, is that instead of svelte men, what we got were a lot of lovely women strutting their stuff on the catwalk. After about an hour or so of eye candy, I must say, there is definitely no complaining to be had 'ere.

The Art: Miranda Kerr GQ Redux

All hail the fine folks at GQ and their annual Love, Sex, and Madness issue! My god, they've selected the incomparable Miranda Kerr for the cover yet again just months after a recent feature, but really, would any red-blooded male dare complain? This shoot's way sultrier than the last and even then, we all know what happened right?

I'd say these snaps are NSFW, but by all means, go ahead. A slight peek or two will help down all that pent-up stress and will actually do you some good. Just make sure you don't happen to work in an office that gets televised a lot. But then again, having Ms. Kerr defending you herself won't be half bad too. Wish for the best and peep the Quarterly for more of the sweet pics!

The Women: Mamma Mia, Amanda!

I've been following the fine film work of Amanda Seyfried from when her boobs could tell when it was going to rain in "Mean Girls", to when she relived Abba in "Mamma Mia", to when she made out with Megan Fox in "Jennifer's Body", to when she broke up with somebody through a letter in "Dear John". Yes, what a career so far. Thus, this much deserved photoshoot in Esquire. All that talent. May her string of critically acclaimed films continue and lead her to an Oscar soon!

The Women: Miranda Kerr's Body of Work

If I have to decide, my favorite supermodel of the moment would definitely have to be Miranda Kerr. That angelic face coupled with lady parts that are neither booming or barely there, what we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is the perfect combination most guys crave, whether it be secretly or openly. Now if we can only get that Orlando Bloom guy out of the picture. Anyhow, another fine job for the dudes at the Quarterly!

The Women: The Rated R Superstar

My, my, my. Somebody's definitely grown. Staying true to her latest album's name, Rihanna gave 2009 a Rated R closing by burning up the pages of the January edition of GQ. The past year's been pretty rough on Riri, but judging from these pictures, I'm confident that she'll definitely bounce back. Can't say the same about C.Breezy though. Just look at these pictures, man. Stupidest mistake of the year, bar none.

The Women: Leighton Meester's Spread

In the same issue that shone that spotlight on certain Men of the Year below, GQ managed to squeak in these pictures of Leighton Meester, this year's "Obsession of the Year". Damn, this is shaping up to be one awesome issue. A must have in my view and yet another compelling argument as to why I should really start watching Gossip Girl. Girly as it may be, I did watch Sex and the City after all.

The Women: Happy Halloween Heidi!

My favorite Halloween costume ever would have to be the chocolate suit worn by Heidi Klum. Good god, it is so her! I sure hope it catches on next year! The pic is from Rankin's Heidilicious book, which I must say, is the most appropriate book title ever.

Getting all the chocolate off her is a tough job, but someone has to do it!

The Women: Wildin' Out with Olivia

Olivia Wilde is on the cover of this month's GQ and dare I say the boys at the Quarterly have done it again. As with Megan Fox's shoot, they managed to make Olivia Wilde look even hotter, especially in one particular picture. Don't worry, when you see said picture, you'll definitely know that it's it.
